The world is in bloom,

Scent of tree orgasm in air,

White petals

Limp upon path,

Ground covered

In post coital buzz.

There are rare indigo orchids blooming

Where only months ago it was desert dry.

Come to me,

Mud body,

Sprouts and songs,

Curve of water current.

Newts are made

Of stronger stuff than they seem,

A water body

Wiggling through water world.

It’s the unstoppable power of beginning,

The first love,

The first taste,

The play of a preschooler.

It doesn’t last,

Sure,

But it always returns.

Spring is forever.
